Feedback: I LOVE this place. I have had acupuncture from Lauren for 3 or 4 years now, and still have no interest in going anywhere else for acupuncture. I actually still remember the first time I went to her for acupuncture, because the rest of the day I was super duper weirdly detached relaxed the rest of the day. Very cool experience. Being a generally healthy person, I used to just go for acupuncture because it was pleasant and relaxing to me (didn't like massages because I'm very ticklish, and needles do not tickle at all, you know?). However, in the last couple years, my sinuses have flaked out on me, and I get regular sinus headaches. Well, I should say I get them when I do not go for acupuncture for more than 4 weeks. It's quite a lifesaver to know I can go travel and no matter how long I am in a dry airplane cabin, I my sinuses will be copacetic if I visited Element for acupuncture before the trip. On another note, I feel Lauren is a super caring, sensitive, & listening sort of health practitioner. She makes me feel more positive by the time I am leaving. And that's great. There is usually something that makes me minus the fifth star, but not here folks. This is the place!!

Feedback: I was treated medically for depression with multiple drugs that left me drowsy. All I wanted to do was sleep all day. This went on for 7 years. My husband of 5 months was concerned so we went to the doctor and they recommended that I take Ritalin to counter act the depressions pills side effects. I said NO! After 4 acupuncture treatments with Lauren I was energetic! My immune system was low and I always went to the doctor, especially for yeast infections. One time I came to Lauren for acupuncture and told her about my yeast infection. She did her thing and the next day I went to my OBGYN and she could physically see the yeast but under the microscope, I was normal! I used to have pain in my knees and I don’t anymore. Lauren's acupuncture treatments have made my quality of living just fantastic.

Feedback: I started the acupuncture weight loss clinic at the end of 2007. I had recently starting working out regularly and watching my diet more carefully and thought the acupuncture might give my efforts a little extra boost. Over the 5 weeks of the acupuncture clinic I lost 8 lbs. This was actually surprising because this 5 weeks covered Christmas, New Years and a trip to Vegas. During none of these was I mindful of what I was eating/doing, but the weight still came off! I found the acupuncture treatments really did curb cravings or the desire to eat when I wasn’t hungry.
I’ve since continued acupuncture and when I find I hit a plateau in my weight loss, we do the weight loss acupuncture and I “magically” conquer the plateau and continue with my progress.

Having never tried acupuncture before, I truly didn't walk into the Element Center for Acupuncture with a high degree of comfort. My mind was filled with questions and doubts. But my uneasiness didn't last long as I quickly found that Lauren Mathews is extremely knowledgable about acupuncture, and was able to make me feel comfortable and relaxed right from the start. Her out-going personality and extreme friendliness helped me feel welcome in her cozy office. I won't bore you readers with the details of my treatments, but I will tell you that I highly recommend Element Center Acupuncture if you're looking for an acupuncturist that can help you relieve pain. Lauren's great!!!

Lauren, Takes time to talk about your issues, and actually listens!!! Her acupuncture is very gentle, for those who are afreaid of needles; you won't feel them!! The ambiance is so smooth and relaxing. I highly recommend!! Kathy G.

Lauren is amazing! She is very professional and really works to find the root of what is causing pain. I have had debilitating migraines for years. Going to Lauren for acupuncture has decreased the frequency and pain so much that I have been able to begin outdoor activities again. I'm getting my life back because of her!

I started acupuncture after an infertility specialist recommended that it sometimes works for women trying to get pregnant. It worked! I'm now expecting and truly believe the acupuncture work I did with Lauren at Element Center helped!

Lauren is warm and professional. She has a depth of knowledge and will incorporate zero balancing, reiki, and acupuncture as needed to provide the best therapy for you. She does acupuncture from a wonderful and quaint house converted into a comfortable office, and immediately makes you feel at ease.

I just started going to Lauren for acupuncture and have been exceptionally impressed. She is knowledgable and has an easygoing manner that is comforting. I have already started feeling positive results from her acupuncture treatments.

I started seeing Lauren for acupuncture for my trouble sleeping in January, little did I know how much my life would change because of it. She encouraged me to take up yoga, which I now can't live without. Seeing her has lead to healthier eating, better sleeping, fewer cravings...basically the results from my sessions with her have changed my entire lifestyle! I highly, highly recommend her!

Lauren provides a calm, relaxed atmosphere with her practice set in a charming old house. It's like a sanctuary: you leave your troubles at the front door and feel completely rejuvenated after treatment. She helped me get over my Meniere's Disease symptoms (vertigo, nausea, tinnitus) that I've had for years. I've learned to think about my physical health and mental well-being in a completely different way thanks to Lauren. All health care in this country should be this good. Highly recommended!
